Dear Friends and Family,
England and the US are through to the last 16 in the World Cup!!
House(s): Some progress has been made through my solicitors toward the purchase of a house. I went to see the house last evening and am eager to get moved in. However, furniture will need to be procured first! I brought none with me from South Africa. On the other hand, I’m not looking forward to moving again!
***Please pray for wisdom in the purchase of furniture, that there won’t be a glitches in my being able to move at the end of October, and that my house in South Africa will sell soon.***
Driver’s License: I’m booked to take the written part of the test next Tuesday. I’ve been practicing by taking tests on the internet and have been doing very well.
***Please pray that I’ll pass.***
Support Groups: I’ve been training a lady in the church so we can co-lead GriefShare and am waiting to begin training our pastor so we can co-lead DivorceCare. Lord willing, future leaders will be found from the participants. The pastor, Roy, and I could then bow out.
***Please pray for the many decisions that need to be made about the groups, for us 3 leaders, our advertising, and that the Lord will provide other leaders for the future. ***
The past few days my left hip has been giving me pain. This is the real hip, not the one that is fake that I got in October.
***Please pray that I won’t have to have this one replaced, too, and that I’ll not do things that contribute towards it deteriorating.***
Bits: -I’m attending a Bible study each week with 4 or 5 ladies in the church.
-some of us ladies also get together socially each week either in a home or a local restaurant.
-today I bought a season ticket for Manchester United!! It’s in a good location in that huge stadium, which holds about 76,000. I can’t wait until 14 August when the season begins.
-dawn begins around 2.30am! Of course, that will begin reversing now.
-I moved here expecting lots and lots of rain. Wrong! It’s not happened – yet.
Please thank the Lord with me for my reliable car, the flat to rent, a house to buy, a lovely bunch of folk to work with at church, at which I’m getting good teaching, far less stress regarding safety and security, and for good health. I thank Him for you and your support!
